Burning Rope are a band born from the ashes of multi award winning blues rock band Catfish following the sad loss of their frontman and guitarist Matt Long to cancer in October 24.
The other three members of the band (Paul Long, Adam Pyke and Phil Wilson) wanted to continue to play and write together, so along with the excellent Gloucestershire based guitarist Alex Voysey, have formed Burning Rope.
Paul Long – I’m sure as time goes on we will develop further as a band, but for now we will be playing some of the songs I wrote for Catfish, some of my songs from my old band The Riotous Brothers, as well as brand new material.
This will be a fantastic gig, and a must see for fans of Catfish.
