Live Music – Gemma Dorsett and Band

Staines-born singer-songwriter Gemma Dorsett returns to the stage with a special hometown performance — her first ever gig at The Thameside Brewery, Staines and her first live show since 2023.

Known for her soulful, rich voice, Gemma comes back with a brand-new line-up featuring Martin Kennedy (Chesney Hawkes band, The Tremeloes, Naked Without It) on guitar, Phil Groyssboeck (Go West, Mike and The Mechanics, Roachford, Nik Kershaw, Chris De Burgh) on drums, and Massimo Avellano on bass.

The evening will be split into two dynamic parts:

The first set sees Gemma perform a 30-minute acoustic set with Martin Kennedy on guitar, showcasing original material in an intimate, stripped-back format — a warm-up for her upcoming support slot for acclaimed Americana artist Eve Selis at The Water Rats, London on July 23rd.

The second set kicks into a higher gear, bringing Phil and Massimo into the mix for a full-band sound. Expect a powerful blend of originals and blues-rock covers, highlighting Gemma’s versatility and love for gritty, groove-driven tunes.
